When it Feels Right
Substack and podcasting just may be two peas in a perfect pod(cast). 😏

📚 LinkedIn can feel stuffy and overly professional and even scholarly (we’re not always in the mood to go to school, right?)

To me, Substack is my hero, and it’s a hero that continues to grow and expand in all the right directions. What started out as the cool, new, interactive blog platform now covers just about any type of online media all in one productive and almost always inspirational place.
And to put a cherry on top, Substack is rolling out AI-detection software that creators and consumers can use. I find this sort of AI/tech accountability and transparency very exciting! I’m not anti-AI in all areas, but I am always pro-transparency!
So what does all this have to do with podcasting, anyway?
Where social media feels like quick fast food, Substack and podcasting feel like a healthy, hearty meal that’s good for the heart and the soul. Of course, there are some mischievous gnomes running around in the gardens of Substack and podcasting.
For the most part, Substack is the perfect complement for your podcast, and actually, vice versa. Your podcast covers the long-form content. Your Substack covers quicker content, but in a more productive and intellectual fashion.
As a podcaster, you can actually host your podcast on Substack. However, because of my loyalty to the smooth operation, features, and excellent support of Captivate.fm as a podcast host, I’d recommend hosting your podcast on Captivate and then feeding the RSS feed to Substack to make your pod available on Substack, too!
